My first is in biscuit but never in cake
My second's in awesome but not in great
My third is in mother but not seen in dad
My fourth is in sunny but never in sad
My fifth is a vowel found in water not creek
My sixth is found only in one day of the week
My seventh's two of three that you learn when you're young
My eighth's not in song but it's there when it's sung
My ninth's in eleven and twelve, not thirteen
My tenth is in island and river, not stream
My eleventh's in precious and secret and paste
My twelfth is in phantom and spectre and haste
My whole stalks the night in a quiet dreamlike state
With no memories the next day of being out late

The box as a secret compartment under it where the ring is hiden, the office staff are so busy messing with the lock that they don't think to examine it closer.

Am I right?

He posts the key separately to her. They don't steal it because it is no good to them. Then he posts the locked box to her.

Isnt it that he puts a padlock on the box, but doesn't lock it. The post office don't bother to steal it, because it has the lock on it, so it reaches her.

ill give you a start: the guy starts off by locking up a box with a padlock, with the gem inside.

right. theres a russian couple who live on two different sides of a border, dividing 2 countries at war. the guy wants to give a ring to his girl. how can he do it seeing as he cant drive to her (the war restrictions). or anything like that, forcing him to send it through the post. how can he do the deed if the corrupt post offices steal anything that isn't locked up in a box (insurance policy)???
