Ha ha ... the easiest way is to use GIMP or CS5 but I'll 'give' the ponies ago, including the hand! But got to do tea now, so maybe in a couple of hours. I'll try and sort out a 'posting' area too :¬)

Yep - as I said you can't stop people...
You can make things more difficult by putting the watermark centrally on the image or using more transparent text across it etc. but it's not an 'answer'.
Obviously a simple crop would do to remove my logo!
I would be interested to see how well Serif filled in the image can you post it somewhere? I've added a new pic of our neighbours ponies for you to use, so you can't just pinch the non-watermarked car one ;¬)

Transparent watermarks are usually considered to be better as they are more difficult to remove, especially if they are positioned to 'obscure' the focus of the image....however, Photoshop CS5 (Content Aware Fill tool) and GIMP 2.0 ( has a similar tool) are capable of removing 'transparent watermarks' with no detriment to the image, if you are really that desperate to have a 'clean' but copied image :¬)

So I thought I would have a look at the many automatic watermarking scripts out there. It still won't stop your image being copied - but being able to automatically add a logo or watermark to your images can be useful.

More and more sites seem to be displaying there images using Flash now, which removes the ability to copy to clip, but a good old fashioned screen dump will sort that out.
It's just about making it difficult for the "thief" now. If you put a lock on the door, can they still break in? Yes they can. But are they going to when Mr. Neighbour has clearly not locked his door?

Many 'solutions' exist - google 'till you've read them all ... but at the end of the day, a solution will be found to 'circumnavigate' whatever is in place to 'protect' the images. Fact of web life:¬(
