True, just follows the usual geek philosophy - If you can, do it, whether or not it's useful is irrelevant... wont notice much change without something intensive like encoding media, but it's stilla fairly simple process, and you get braggin' rites with a decent overclock, only reason we do it ;)

The thing is, I can live on a 333mhz. A 1.66ghz is going to be insane for me, and as safe as it is I can't really be arsed to go through all the hassle. It's not really worth it, especially seeing as I'm going to be using a GF3.

Why not? You could get it to the speeds of a 」300 chip and even faster...you wont cause any serious damage to it without putting the voltage too high, I really don't see why people are so worried about it..

Ah, but I really don't want to overclock a 」250 chip which is already effing fast.

Heh, if you're interested in overclocking then the 1500 or 1800 are good choices, as the only difference between those and the 1600/1900 is a multipler of 0.5 less. If you're overlocking, you'll have to lower the multiplier to hit higher FSBs anyway, so you'd be paying for something you wouldn't use.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
