i'm a little concerened about the hype that this game has been given.
in my opinion ISS Pro Evolution 2 is quite possibly the best football game i've played on the PS1.
i will be getting Pro Evo but could someone tell me if it actually lives up to the expectations it been given???

It is very good, but, i don't think it's as good as ISS98 on the N64.
That game had referees and linesmen on the pitch, better weather effects like snow (and in the snow you play with a yellow ball), and much better playability.
Pro Evo has great graphics, ball physics and animation, but it's almost impossible to score from outside the box as 99.9% of shots sail over the bar.
They both have god-awful commentary though!
As far as next-gen footie games go, Pro Evo is a must.

it just flows really well, it feels like your actually involved in the game. trying to beat that off side trap time that sliding tackle etc.
most footie games are like "run down the wing, cross the ball, score with overhead kick. Repeat until bored"
Pro Evo is just sweet, it flows like no other. its alo superb multi-player. buy it, enjoy it, praise the day i convinced you.
