The joys of being a subscriber, my copy turned up this morning, highlights of the issue are:
Playable Demos: Headhunter, Pro Evo Soccer, Fifa 2002, Ace Combat, Moto GP2, Shaun... Snowboarding, Twisted Metal Black, Wipeout Fusion, Dropship & Ecco !
Review wise, Headhunter gets 7/10, Wipout 9/10, Rez 9/10, Dropship & Ecco both get 8/10.

Oh of course, it's going to be pretty good but I'm not sure about 9/10 from what I've seen.
It's a tired series now and new console or not - there's only so much that can be improved on.
It's faster than ever though and some of the courses look amazing so no doubt it'll sell by the truckload and I'll have to wind my neck in..... :)

Yeah, but wipeout was delayed for tweaking. Remember how pants GT3 was on the march demo compared to what it is now?

The demo I played was uninspiring at best. I really wasn't impressed with it.
Guess I'll have to read the review and find out exactly what's so great about it.
Maybe they re-did the game, starting from scratch?

I saw a video demo of Headhunter on either the PSW or PSM2 coverdisc, and it certainly doesn't look anything like an MGS2-beater.
Still one to keep an eye on though. I think it's like comparing the Syphon Filter games to MGS1 - very good, very competent and very enjoyable - but always destined to be second-best.
