Origional games like Jet Set Radio are hard to come by now. Many of the new games to hit the shops are sequals. Will there be any origional games to come out next year or will sequals continue to be made. Will the world of gaming be run by games like Gran Torismo 34 or Tomb Raider 75. Please post your replies because i really would like to hear what you say.

Depends what game it is. You only get sequels when you have a good first game.
It just depends what game as some sequels use better technology or are on other consoles.

Well, a sequel usually improves upon an original, but a an original is usually great because it has a novel idea or does something particularly well.

There's always going to be endless tomb raider and GT spawns because people buy them through popularity. It is just the way the world goes round. When people stop buying them, the developers will start something new and novel and the cycle will repeat itself.
If games are good enough to warrant a continuation of the story, or an update to the series, then there will always be sequels.
The fact is though, limitless sequels WON'T always sell, and original games will always be avaiable to games-players. How can we expect to move forward without new ideas and concepts to move the industry forward?

Games that are endlessly recreated are Football sims. FIFA think a new game is needed every year. They are good, but nothing really changes....much.
Well, Jet Set is a perfect example of a truely original game that has been made in recent times and has completely changed aspects of the industry (just look at the new Zelda!)

Jet Set Radio is one of the most wonderful and original games ever. Thank you SEGA! I'm hoping REZ will be of a similar ilk.
Rez certainly looks original, but strange. Not one i'm exactly excited about.
