If you have then what is it because I am in need of beautiful music..
Doesn't matter who it's by or where it's from, it can be pop, rock, punk, anything at all, just so long as you found it beautiful.
> Try Starálfur or Viġrar Vel Til Loftárasa by Sigur Ros.
I'll back that up - truly inspiring music.

Yes it is true, Jonah started off in the band Far which split in 1999. They had been together since 1991 and deserved much more then they recieved. No-one really knows why Far split, it was said there was an argument between certain band members and other sources say they just wanted a rest, saying that it had become 'less fun' playing being more popular then ever.
So, they all went their own ways and the other members have bands whilst Jonah has his solo project - Onelinedrawing and his Band - New End Original.
New End Original also features two members of 'Texas Is The Reason; another great band that split in the early/late 90's.
I saw NEO live last Thursday and all I can say is - WOW! Jonah sings, he screams and you can tell the band enjoy what they do. With soft melodys at times and then a sudden rush to the front by the audience for more faster tracks.
One thing that made me happy about being there was that Jonah spoke of how they had no big record label and how maybe, just maybe it was for the music. He loves it for the music and is one hell of a great guy, he even comes out a mixes with the fans at the end. But, hes a bit of a hippy hehe. Goto onelinedrawing.com and post a message on his message board, he replys to everyone personally and runs the site himself, exelent!
He gave it 110% effort on that night.
He's also sung with the Rival Schools and Deftones :-)
Check out Far, it's WELL worth a listen.
First off Mr.Nice Guy:
I completely agree, well almost. There is a natural tendancy to associate beauty with images. In many ways some scenes in films are given their beauty by the music they are set too. As is often said beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this is true in the case of music. It doesn't matter whether a song is a strings-laden ballad or a throbbing techno beat, so long as you can see beauty in that then that's all that matters. Personally I find emo music beautiful but if you find something else beautiful then that is too. It is entirely subjective so it's not anyone's place to judge these posts objectively or to criticise them. I'm going a bit off track here, but I agree with your post, strangely it was actually one night at McCools that inspired me to ask that question because i found a song by *cough* a-ha *cough* beautiful.. Often, though we find music beautiful because of a circumstance in which we heard it. Whether it is the last song at a school dance, or the music played after a goal is scored, events and circumstances tend to lend music an increased beauty of sorts. Anyway I'll move on now or I'll be accused of rambling...
Grix Thraves:
Yeah, I saw an incredibly good Sigur Ros video on MTV2 a few days ago. The two boys kissing after one scores a goal. It's strangely beautiful...

> He was on about Mouldy Cheese
Oh, and so he was. Rod Stewart did the original of Handbags and Gladrags, and I thought SHEEPY was calling me a prat because he thought I didn't know it was by Rod Stewart, but he was actually shouting at Mouldy Cheese, who said it was by Mike + The Mechanics. So, this is all a big misunderstanding on my part. Sorry!
> Its a cover of a Rod Stewart song you complete prat...
No offence :)
Yes, I know. By the way, I'm not a prat. I was actually surprised for some reason that anyone said a piece of music from a film. John Barry is one of the best all-time composers of film music, composing almost all of the Bond theme, among hundreds of other film themes. He's a true patron to films.
What do you think of your New End Original album?
There's so many thing that a 'beatiful song' could mean.
