Also does anyone know of any sites to get a region hacker for media player, or the DVD player on Windows XP. Cause as I'm sure you all know, you can change the region, but only like 3 times and then it stays that way permanetly, what an annoyance!
What I don't get is why N64 had better graphics and was faster than PS2 but yet most of the games were cartoon games like Mario.
Looking at the Special Reserve magazine N64 has got about 4 times as little games as only the PS2 games (not including PSX/1 games). The worst thing about GameCube is you can't play N64 games on it because Nintendo have change to Disks (If you ask me the N64 should of had disks not cartriges which are too small in storage but at least you can save on them). I'm not sure about GameCube but I know there's a Emulator pack for PS2 so you can play Gameboy games on your PS2.
My opinion is PS2 will be better than GC but I'm not sure about X-Box which looks okay but probably have to struggle to get in with Nintendo and PS2. Although I would consider buying a GC, if I didn't have a PS2 I might of bought the GC if it was out then.
"It wasn't just the Xbox and Gamecube which had a good week of sales, PlayStation 2 sales also went up 83% from the previous week, with Game Boy Colour and Game Boy Advance sales also rising. For an industry now bigger than the movie industry, it shows no signs of stopping."
So I'm not worried!
PS2 has already sold enough units that developers can't afford to ignore it.
Game developers want to produce games for the best selling console.
With the Gamecube and X-box selling so well in the USA, and apparently breaking the records set by the PS2 it could be a very close console war indeed.
There are already rumours flying about that Capcom want to completly jump ship to Nintendo, and the resi evil series moving may just be a sign of things to come.
I'll be surprised if the Gamecube does better than the N64, a genuine lack of software. With the X-Box, do we really want to play a souped-up version of Abe?
I'll keep my PS2 and keep on playing the recent and best PS2 releases, thankyou very much!!
Im more worried about what games shall i play, there are too many games coming out that i want.
I will get a Gamecube though which will sit nicely next to my PS2 ;-)
I have got a site bookmarked on my other PC with the URL of a site which had loads of region hacks. I'll post it on here sometime later today.
