The X-Box, and to a lesser degree the Game cube kick flying dung out of the specs of PS2. It doesn't bode well for the future!
Also does anyone know of any sites to get a region hacker for media player, or the DVD player on Windows XP. Cause as I'm sure you all know, you can change the region, but only like 3 times and then it stays that way permanetly, what an annoyance!

I have my X-Box on pre-order, so if PS2 and X-Box do well then iam happy. Also probably going to get the GC, not on release day but maybe a few months later, depending on which games are out.

i'm not to worried about other consoles we should all live in harmony and get whatever console has the most games that you like

I am personally not worried about X-Box at all. Cant see it hurting the PS2. And in my opinion Gamecube is going to be much better than the Microsoft's console because of the range of games it will offer. There will be something for everyone from Mario to SSX games. I am thinking of buying one if I have the sufficient funds but as long as the PS2 is doing well and quality games are coming out foer it, I dont have a reason to worry

nope i am not worried not at all in one slightest little bit.

Know why? just look at all the developers who have invested loads of money into the PS2 to make AAA titles so they aint just gonna go and make games for other companies are they?

The DC does have its restrictions on the internet, but you can get round them by going in to certain settings. Who knows what the PS2 internet will be like. This may suffer from being restricted. Remember that games compainies dont really want there internet to be able to go to any sites that are deemed unsuitable for kids. The DC has its restrictions which kids wouldnt be able to get past. Parents are then in safe knowledge that there kids cant look at anything unsuitable. Adults on the other hand may want to look at this type of material and can by getting rid of the restrictions. Overall the PS2, X-Box and GC probably will come with restrictions for the internet due children being able to use it. Adults will be able to get past it, just like on the PS2 with its DVD parental control. Microsoft have also implented this sort of feature into there games. This provides parents with safe knowledge that there children can play games and surf the internet with out coming across unsuitable material. If your an adult you can set up the console and internet how you want it to be.

N64 faster and better than PS2? you said it! Okay, i realise you probably ment PSone there, but not all N64 games were 'cartoony'. Perfect Dark and Goldeneye are good examples of 'realistic' looking games. Then there was also the Turok series, and also we got an Resi evil game .

I'm sure you will be able to do more than just play on your gameboy games with the GC!
