Who are the better classic rock band? i can't decide myself as i like both of them, in fact they are probably my two favourite bands. don't get me wrong i like todays music just as much. bands like Green Day, Sum 41, Blink 182 have created some of the best power chord music i have heard. but i will always sit down and put Led Zep or Queen on ahead of these, purely because their music is just more attention grabbing. The fact that these two bands are still listened to today (and i mean by people under 20 just as much as over it) shows how classy their music is and how it will be around for a lot longer. Probably.
I guess i favour these two bands because i play the guitar and i prefer playing music that is challenging rather than power chords. Dont get me wrong power chord music sounds brilliant, but playing that against a complicated Jimmy Page/Brian May solo, the solo always wins. So for all those classic rockers out their who do you think is better - Queen or Led Zeppelin? i would be interested to find out what you think of them, and also the reasons for why some of u dont like them. (other than Brian May's haircut that is).

Led Zeppelin win because they don't have Brian "My stupid big hair and stupid pointy face" May in.

Personally I'd go for Judas Priest, Pink Floyd or Motorhead over Led Zeppelin, add in Queen and out of those 5 groups I'd have to pick Motorhead as my favorite group.
I personally prefer Queen but a lot of people will choose Led Zep (I know my brother would). I think Led Zep were seen as more 'serious' than Queen but then again Queen seemed to appeal to a broader range of people.
