Following last month's announcement that Microsoft was launching the Platinum Hits range of budget-priced games for the Xbox in North America, the company has today made a similar announcement in Europe where best-selling games will be re-released as Xbox Classics from April 11. Games in the Xbox Classics range will feature a white border around the original packaging and retail for around £19.99

The following games have been announced.

Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Burnout
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
Dead or Alive 3
James Bond 007 in Agent Under Fire
Max Payne
MotoGP
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee
Project Gotham Racing
Rallisport Challenge
Spider-Man
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
Wreckless

I will be geting Buffy and Bond and that price!

Who cares, N64 had a platnum range too.

They are just budget games, many of which are very good.

What, you mean how GC games are cheaper than Xbox ones? Oh yeah, price fixing. Nutter..

What I meant was, Platinum means the games have sold over 1,000,000 copies, which is doubtful for most of them. And Sony's range is called Platinum, too. So that was my point.

Why decrease the price of a game if it'sselling well at full-price?

in my opinion, i think they haven't put Halo in the classic range whatever it's called because it's one of the Xbox games that's always bought. but if they put it down to £20 they'd proberly make double on it then what they do now...

well yes, because if you are playing against the computer on moto gp, and you think to yourself, "i would like to play people from around the world on xbox live", then you dont have to waste your time putting the demo disk in.
