OK, Panasonic and Nintendo win on the sexiest console of all time front!! This has to be a must... we should start a petition to have these released in the UK.. (Though i do know of a firm that will be importing them!!)
Lets not be brushed aside like we usually are... We want "Sexy" toys, we want this!!

OSAKA, Japan -- Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., best known for its Panasonic brand of consumer electronic and digital communications products, announced today that it will introduce a new DVD video player SL-GC10 which is compatible with the 'Nintendo GameCube'. The Panasonic SL-GC10 will be launched into the Japanese market on December 14, 2001. There is no suggested retail price.
Since the two companies formed a strategic alliance in May, 1999, Matsushita has been developing a DVD video player compatible with the 'Nintendo GameCube', which Nintendo Co., Ltd. started selling in September.
By combining Matsushita's high quality sound and image technology, the new DVD player can play both DVD-video software and 'Nintendo GameCube' games software. The new player offers unparalleled versatility to play various discs including DVD-Video, DVD-R*, Video-CD, Audio CDs, and CD-R/CD-RW* formats. It also features a LCD display in the front panel, a remote control, and various sound and visual effect functions for enhanced enjoyment of movies and games software.
* This unit can also play back Panasonic DVD-R discs Recorded with the Panasonic DMR-E20 DVD video recorder. Other DVD-R discs may not be able to be played back depending on the DVD-R disc used and the recording conditions.
* This unit can also play back CD-R/CD-RW discs recorded by the CD-DA (for Audio CD) and Video-CD format. Other CD-R/CD-RW discs may not be able to be played back depending on the CD-R/CD-RW disc used and the recording conditions.
