After reading the upwire news story, I am very pleased to see that Mr. Pond may be making a return, on GBA and GC.

YAY!

Does anyone else remember the little goldfish as he jumped and shot his way through a myriad of underwater worlds - it was great fun!

Yeah, and I hope that the developers include that really cool move where James stretches himself to grab onto higher platforms. That was aces.

On the GC?

Oh god I can see that being a bit on the pap side, well fingers crossed, maybe the metal stomached goldfish will turn out to be a classic.

James Pond?
On the GBA and GC?
Really?

I was hoping that someone out there would think to bring James Pond to the GBA. I still own James Pond 2: Codename Robocod on the SEGA Mega Drive, and it's still loads of fun.
I just hope that whoever is bringing the li'l fish to the GBA does him some justice.

i remember them !! i had the one on those big EA cartridges on the meagdrive (the ones with a yellow tab on the side of the cart ) it was ace , but then i sold it , DOH !

Yeah I've still got it for my Mega Drive. My sister always plays it. Its a four player game.
