We are planning to do the Lee & Cragg Quarry Ride on Sunday. Meet at 9am at the usual Place (Car Park opposite BP Garage in Waterfoot) - see directions at bottom of this message.

The Plan is to do a couple of Circuits of Cragg Quarry, before riding across to Lee Quarry and a couple of circuits there (and a bit of a play),we are also going to try a new way of getting upto Cragg Quarry to keep the Locals Happy.

Me (Simon) and Pete are definitely doing This Ride. Meeting at 9am.

Directions are as follows :

Directions to get to Lee Quarry on Sunday - Take the M65 to J8, Then Take the A56 South towards Haslingden & Rawtenstall, go straight across one roundabout, then take the A681 through Rawtenstall and onto Waterfoot, once in Waterfoot follow directions below.

As you enter waterfoot there is a BP garage on your left. Opposite the garage is a right turn which leads to a small car park. There is also plenty of parking on the road too. The exact location can be found by pasting this in to google and then clicking maps 53.692122,-2.254302

Half Life lacks in many areas, especially by today's standards. At the time it was quite good but only up to a point so about a third of the game is rubbish and the ending ruins the first two thirds by being so bad as to make up for their lack of poor quality. The mods and multiplayer were good on the PC but since you don't get those on a console it must be terrible. Freespace 2, now that's a good game and the best game ever is Return To Castle Wolfenstein now that it's out, so forget Half-Life. Mind you most console gamers have low standards as far as FPSs are concerned at least. Just look at Red Faction, most horrific and yet enjoyed by some crazy console gamers. Perhaps even some totally insane PC gamers too. Still you have to laugh, it had some bits that were so ridiculous they were funny, especially the ending. Mind you none of that was deliberate but still... hehe, sit on the nuke, they should really have put that in.

Not knowing where to go.
Stupid teleport places with no indication where you would go
Always starting at home when you reloading and having to traipse for hours to get back.

Just didnt like it.

what was wrong with Soul Reaver 1?..apart from the cliffhanger

and once you do the Light Forge, you can dip yer sword in it and it glows with shining light.

I hated Soul Reaver 1, but this one is excellent fun.
I hate those little cannonball-shooting dudes though.

Dont worry, it's irrelevant to that series of puzzles.

When you manage to solve them all, you get the Dark Forge power, which enables you to lob shadows from the reaver, that's all.
