do you think it would be any good if they made one? what genre would you want it to be? a game like tomb raider?(Well ish) a game like warcraft or what?

I don't reckon they could really make a decent LOTR game.
I don't know why but I can just see it being really crap and boring and shoddy beyond all comparisons.

Well i happen to know that the game is coming out for the X box.

And i happen to know J R R Tolkeins family, infact his great grandchildren go to my school!

And i went to school (primary) with them!

Well, I don't want it like that. I want a RTS game, like Command and Conquer where you can have big battles. I'd be the Lord of the Nazgul obviously. And as the biggest LotR fan on these forums, I outrank you. :-D

or one long game on a DVD

lord of the rings would ave to be a 7 part game on 7 cds. Id want it as a huge RPG type game where you can go anywhere and do anytihng and don't have to follow the story.

well I no tomb raider isn't a boardgame.... it's a racing game!

I read a while back that EA has the rights to produce games based around the Lord of the Rings - Apparantly it will be an RPG style game!! Havent heard anything since though!!

oh dear indeed, but it might just work as a game.
