If you were given the choice of what music should be played in game for 'Tony Hawks' and 'Crazy Taxi'on the GameCube, then what would you choose? Would you go with the standard rap, hip-hop, skate rock themes, or would you go for something more 'trancy'??
Do you like the tracks on current games? What affect do you think your selections would have on the game and how it's played?? What are you ideas?

Hey I made this topic ........... about 5 months ago, so not to worry. You never knew. :D

I would choose Linkin' Park and Blink 182 for Tony Hawk's. Bands like that. Heavy Metal, Rock, that sort of thing.

For Crazy Taxi I wouldn't mind because I wouldn't get it.

What I hate on games is when they have an annoying main theme tune....and when they can't come up with any new music they just twist the main theme tune agian and again and again. It happens even in the best of games...Banjo Kazooie, Conkers Bad Fur Day...the list goes on...and on
*falls asleep humming an annoying theme tune*

I think the best type of background music in games has to be the tracks that are originally made up for that particular game, take music from nintendo games for example how long does it take you to get those catchy tunes out of your head? there permantly engraved in mine! especially all of the Zelda theme tunes.
games like Tony hawks or 1080 always seem to borrow music from some hit rock group or something and it does suit the game quite well untill it gets a little repetitive and in some cases annoying, havibg said that i'm getting Tony hawks 2 on the N64 soon (hopefully)so my views could be changed... oh well only one way to find out, but for now i'll just hum the Zelda theme tune to myself "do do do doo, da da do do do do do do doo, do do do d, da do do dooo, do do dodada do!"
