However these aren't the only type of pirates around no, there are also Pirates in the shape of games. Yes thats right they are in the shape of games, and there are a hell of alot of them too. Ever so slowly they are spreading, from home to home, City to City. I am sure many of you have let them move into your home, and ever so slowly take over your PALs. Soon there will be so many you will have few PALs and many pirates all because what they do, they do it cheaper. Well don't let this happen, your PALs are the best things that can happen to you, they may not cost alot more, but they are better in quality and they last longer.
Well lets begin, slowly thes Pirate games are destroying the gaming industry. People get them for all the same reasons, that is because they are cheaper than the average PAL game, and they do the same job so why not buy them ay?? Well i'll tell you why not. They aren't better than the average PAL game, infact the quality is terrible.
But that is not the only problem with Pirate games, no it is not. Think about it, companies spend alot of money producing their games, to make us happy. They try to reach their deadlines to make us happy. But their are some people who don't appreciate this, they don't care how much money has been put into it, they just care about their own finances. However at the moment it is only a minority of people who invest in chipping their consoles, and buy these Pirate games.
But this minority are losing these gaming companies money, no matter how little it is. Soon though, Piracy could be lost forever. As time passes by new technology is found which can stop this terrible act before it goes to far. I doubt it can be stopped though, people will find ways to get past this technology so they can copy games.
In the end though it iall down to prices, people only buy these pirate games because they are cheaper. So why don't these games companies lower their prices?? well if they did they would lose money and have a chance that they will go bankrupt. So at the moent there is no obvious solution to stomp down on pirate games but hopefully soon there will be.

Point taken RBS. But the rest still stands!!!
I remember reading somewhere that Warner Brothers where shown prototypes of videos in the early days of development, and basically refused to support them in case, god forbid, people who hadn't bought the video, went around to someone elses' house and watched it!
Damn Dirty Corporations.

We take a stand on videogames, what about all these other things? It is the same principle, n'est pas?
I imagine this will soon happen with the PS2 soon, what with the rapid price cuts of DVD writers
