I have a flip lid PS2 and on one of my TV's at home the picture is black and white when playing any import games, I guess this is a 60mhz signal being reproduced on a 50mhz TV ?
I'm not Mr Technical on TV signals etc, any ideas or suggestions ? or is there a lead that would convert the signal from 60mhz to 50mhz ?

You can also buy convertors from www.kanection.co.uk (£15 Next day Delivary)

ive read somewhere that a decent RGB cable should do the trick, but not always as it depends on you tele.

Mr no name can you post on here when youve tried the convertor to let us know if it worked.

Cheers

It can sometime be sorted by ensuring you're using a propper RGB SCART lead (i.e. not the rubbish one shipped with the PS2) linked to an RGB input.

There's what you need, it's probably the cheapest off here new as well. Check e-bay (as suggested) there's usually some floating around there.

There's me prattling on like I know something.
Was gonna buy it (and all the gubbins). But bought a GC instead.

Now I need more money.

Let me rephrase that:

I need more money, NOW!

Get a NTSC-PAL converter, I have one... it works beautifully.

Though dont pay that much, look on eBay... its where I got mine.

About £15.

thanks, I have tried through my video, but it's not NTSC compatible. I assume that's the problem, nothing to do with mhz.
Is there a signal converter or similar I can buy ?
Have tried the Blaze PS2 VGA Monitor Display adaptor but wasn't impressed with hideous multi-coloured borders.

You need an NTSC compatible TV to view imports or use the scart through an NTSC compatible Video Player, like Rosalind said.
