Below is a link from the bbc displaying the new logo that they decided upon:

Linky

Oh dear...Looks like a duffer. To me, this logo is cheesy, retro and wouldn't look out of place in a 1980s anti drugs campaign or on an episode of saved by the bell. Something tells me someone believe bad art was great art. Especially comparing it with other attempts at the logo appear to be miles better. Will children honestly be appealed by the olympics? If at all?

Hell, the logo is probably far too retro to appeal to kids.

So your opinions on this sh-(horrid) logo...

You have got to hand it to the designers. Capitilising the L in London may not be seen as trendy but it is gramatically correct. "Ha you really think 1500 years of writain language will stop us hahaha". To be honest I dont think I have seen a proposed logo I like less. Maybe if they had one with 5 painted children representing the rings being burned alive by a granny with the olympic tourch, watched by Nazis buggering satan, then I would go for the currewnt one.

The motion follows news that an online petition against the logo had been closed after its organiser conceded the design was "here to stay". But, in two days, 48,615 people had added their names to it.

Has anyone seen the official olympic website. Talk about being loud and totally unsuited.

Far too early 1990s to late 80s.

that`s horrible in every way.
most horrible was the price tag though. £400,000 so the day before deadline someone can smash a plate and trace it.

what a load of rubbish.

Horrible, but at least it was a bit different. £400,000 for that? Jeez, I'd have done better for free, and I can barely even draw!
