So here heralds the demise of March. At last the killer month is over, so many top class games... I'm still working through Resident Evil 0 let alone Super Monkey Ball 2 and Metroid Prime.

But I only have one month in which to do it as May sets in:

The Legend of Zelda
Hitman 2
Splinter Cell
Enter the Matrix
Burnout 2

Although only one of them is exclusive to the Gamecube they are all massive titles. Enter the Matrix WILL top the all format charts and after researching it for cube-europe I can say it is a must get (3 discs long!). Hitman 2 of course knocked Mario Sunshine off the top spot within a week! Splinter Cell was the biggst Christmas X-box title. Burnout 2 is new big thing in driving sims and of course The Legend of Zelda is a classic series of games and probably the Nintendo fans favourite.

I will be wanting all of those and Burnout 2 is the only one I will forgivingly let slip (driving games are damn good but not my favourites). That is the next BIG month in Gamecube gaming and it's just over a month away! Thank god we probably won't see another month like these until September.

Dringo.

The Wind Waker, Skies of Arcadia, Lost Kingdoms 2, Ikaruga and Def Jam Vendetta are games I'll be wanting. For some reason Splinter Cell just doesn't strike me as a good game, although, I'll probably end up getting just to see what all the hoohar's about.

Burnout seems okay, but it's highly overrated and doesn't really deserve the 9/10's it's been given.

As for Enter the Matrix, methinks a cash-in is on the cards. I really can't see it being too good.

Hopefully Konami will announce at E3 that they're bringing Pro Evo to Europe on Cube.

If not then we've got no chance of any decent football games coming our way.

I got bored of Fifa 2003 after about a day of play, rubbish game.

That was the GamesMaster review, right?

I read that one too, and it has put me off, for a moment...
I'm just waiting to hear what NGC say, and whether the GameCube version is unlikelily any better. I'm fed up with FIFA 2003, and don't want to import Winning Eleven 6: Final Evolution, unless I can find a way to replace that Japanese text with English.

I don't know what the hell's gone wrong with Konami....

It's crap according to a PS2 review I read on gamesradar.com

Any month when Metroid Prime and Resi 0 are released should never be described as weak.

I've got Zelda pre-ordered.
I'll probably get Skeies of Arcadia in that same month...
I'll be trading-in Burnout against Burnout 2.
And I may also go for ISS 3 (if it's actually any good).

But I'm not interested in Splinter Cell. Stealth-packed games like that just aren't my kind of thing. Although, I'm beginning to take in interest in Hitman 2, now, after reading through NGC's brief preview last-night... I just like how it seems there are so many things to do; and a number of way to do things in... Even if it is rather stealth-based.

But do you see now why March looked rather "weak" in its line-up, compared to that of May?

I saw Sonic Mega Collection in Blockbuster today for £25.

They had quite a few bargains in there actually, picked up a copy of Bounty Hunter for £25.

Don't forget Red Faction 2, Skies of Arcadia (exclusive) and Def Jam Vendetta.

All out in May last time I checked.
