"I'm going to be a Bargain Hunt contestant!"

Anyone here watch Bargain Hunt? I found out today I'm going to be a contestant on it! They're filming 2 shows here in Dublin next month to be shown in June and they phoned today asking if I was available to be a contestant. I'd forgotten I'd even applied. It was over a year ago. Pity it's after the deadline for the SR mag comp.!

Lol I've seen the show about twice and now I'm an expert. I think I've found my true calling in life...nah I still want to be a journalist:D

Any kind of oldish teddy bears seem to be a good bet too. Thanks for the advice Cubist.

If it was me I'd stay clear of anything crystal or practical such as a spoon collection. I'd go for things like paintings,vases (for decoration only) etc that way even if they aren't from a specific time period or even if they are cheap rip offs someone will still like the way it looks and buy it:D

I have learned how the game works, just buy the most ugly thing you can see, and that will make you loads of money, well that seems to be how it works...
But never buy anything good, well there never really is, but dont because you will loose...
remember, buy crap the you will win...

I can't promise anything Cubist but I'll try not to make a complete fool of myself (and my mum!) by buying anything really stupid.

You must try and wear clothes more gaudy and stupid looking than the Dukes.

Cool Lindgren, Just promise me you will think about what you buy. Honestly I hate it when people get like a chipped egg cup for £50 and expect to make a profit...I am thinking of the right show amn't I?

The woman is phoning back with the details on Monday so I'll post the date it'll be shown then.
