Business is booming, but summer is looming

Gameaday is being reverted to one prize per day, commencing tomorrow.

The prize will be issued for the best Review. For the time being there will not be any prizes for cheats, chat, walkthroughs etc.

"Yaa Boo", I hear you say. But you have had a good run with three prizes a day. We are what we are, and that's Gameaday.

So, are the chat prizes and cheats prizes gone forever?

Not on your Nelly.

Obviously it's their website, so their choice, but it may harm the number of people coming to the site, and therefore less business.

Apart from the great prices, one of the big appeals people have said about in the past is the ability to come here and win free games, I'm sure many people have come here for that specific reason alone. This in turn has led to a greater amount of new people (potential customers) coming here, seeing the products and lower prices and therefore buying stuff from Special Reserve instead of other, more pricey retailers. So if less free stuff is on offer to appeal to new visitors, less people may come on or be persuaded to come on in the future?...

Hopefully it'll only be a temporary thing, because it will more than likely mean less great GAD attempts, many of which are very good and I enjoy reading and have done for the past year and a half.

I can't say I'm too bothered, I mostly just post stories in Life, don't write many GAD 1 attempts. Although this change will hinder my changes of winning GAD 2, because I'm quite a frequent winner, hopefully I'll still be ableto produce a good review now and again.

Can we stop these "Oh i think its a good thing that GAD 1 and 3 have gone" posts. I mean although(most) of our lives don't revolve around winning a GAD. Those of us who use the sie regularly obviously do not want to lose the GAD for Chat. Walkthroughs and Cheats are fair enough as they don't actually really bring anymore potential customers to the site, Chat however does. Anyway its their decsion, but i can see a lot of good posters leaving because although many post and don't really care about GAD, a lot of the best posts on this site are the engineered GAD attempts which actually present some valuable ideas. The only benefit i can see is that crap posters won't be attracted, but on the same note neither will many good posters. Although many aren't motivated completely by the idea of winning GAD now, there are few who wont admit that GAD was what brought them to the site and created their original loyalty. UKChatforums isn't exactly in its best period aty the moment with about 2 posts in prime in the last week. Chat hardly of a high value, and the life, movies and sports forums are producing most of the good posts. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to return as i am severely sceptical that they will. Espescially if the mass desertion of the site does not happen then there will be little motivation for them to bring them back. Although it is nice for them to have posters with a bit of intelligence it doesn't really matter, in reality we are 1000 registered potential customers not posters, and so long as there are people here the chances of purchases remain the same.

Hope this doesn't kill the chatforums as I am reletively irregular any way but they are quite nice to visit when there isn't much to do.

Only joking! I'll just probably be here even less now (making it once-a-week, instead of twice).
I'll still be around... sometimes, just to talk about Football with other people who aren't all Arsénal fans, and who actually talk sense about the beautifull game (besides, perhaps, Sniper... ;) ).


Now I'll probably have to start BUYING more games...!! :S

Paying money for games... That just doesn't sound right, anymore!

Well, I had won my first and only GAD with GAD 1, and that's been my only attempt at a GAD so far.

But the thing is, I've been working on a great story for a few weeks now, perfecting it, and saving it 'til it was perfect for SR.
And then this happens.
Gah!

It will be posted none the less.

Oh, and he said GAD1/3 would return, so yay for that then.
