Goodbye GAD 1, you've been good to me.

But with no more GAD1, then there will be no more of those cynical replies.

"Oh, another GAD for the pile" and all the like.

To be honest, I reckon there was a portion of the site that was jealous of me.

Not because of the way I write, but just because I won free games.

I reckon this even meant people didn't reply to the posts, they just turned their noses up, worried that their crappy piece on console wars would again get overlooked, because once more I had managed to amuse and entertain.

I'm also glad that I never had a hissy fit about not winning.

Never claimed that I deserved to win more.

Never let one win go by without saying thank you, and being trully grateful for Special Reserves kindness.

Will I still be here without GAD1?

Of course.

I haven't been here as much in recent months anyway, because of problems at work, but I still SR these forums as a good place to dump the contents of my brain. Give things a first airing, see how they're received.

Without SR I would have no ambitions of being a writer, and I probably wouldn't be playing games quite so regularly.

SR has been good to me, and there's no way I'd leave just because free games stopped on chat posts.

Hell, I've got the Henchman's Survival Guide part 3 to deliver yet!

So this is a big thank you to all that made the GAD competition so enjoyable, and a big screw you to all those that ever felt any hate towards me, just because I wrote something better than you did.

hell, maybe I'll even write a few reviews every now and then, I don't have that much spare cash to actually buy games! ;o)

Damn, I used to have that. My DVD reviewing skills are wasted now.But that was before your time. Young cretins, I dunno. I remember when the site was aflow with DVDs. And Shaneo was decent enough to be around so we could insult him. And the logo was less shiny. Ah, what tales I could tell.

Meka had the time to write quality post after post, most here didn't. I remember months ago I stopped posting any spoofs for ages, due to exams and stuff. Even now, I hardly ever get to sit down and write anything funny, just some drivel I stick in the life forum.

Not like the old days, when I was only in 6th form three days a week, and only one of those was a full day. I was posting morning, noon and night. Now, I come to the forums constantly, sometimes I see posts and become encouraged to write something myself, other times I think "Curse these kids, they have more free time!"

That reminds me, I need to work on my scripts, ain't touched 'em in weeks...
