Your real point was proven? Did you have a false point? I believe all you had was a statement that a proved was flawed. "Okay" is not a word it is simply a phonetic way of saying "OK". It even says that on www.dictionary.com . All it's entries have the almost exact same description just the first two entries and history of the word are written as "OK". The last two are simply the same thing except spelled phonetically. it's not a word it is simply the same as above except using the the phonetic spelling of the actual word "OK".

Heh, and the phonetic version is after the Pronounciation key, not before it.

True but when you go to www.dictionary.com and type in "Okay" the first 2 entries found say "OK" instead and agree with me that "Okay" is the phonetic way of saying it. The last two entries do say "Okay" but in there description of "Okay" is exactly the same as "OK" and says "Okay" means "OK" later on in the description. That is presuming you got your description of "Okay" from that website Phuzzy.

I should however note that okay and OK are one and the same. OK isn't an abbreviation of okay and okay isn't a phonetic version of OK.

Yes, thats right..

I don't think "Okay" is a word. I think "Okay" is just the phonetic way of spelling "OK" so people know how to pronounce it. As i said I think "OK" is simply adjective meaning alright, satisfactory etc. I don't think the two letter are even an abbreviation I think they simply make up a small word like "at"....Of course I could be completely wrong lol :S :D
