I am now in a particularly bad mood with the BBC and if I wasn't so lazy i would actually report them to the TV watchdog over crappy scheduling. I appreciate there is a war on and a golf championship which has incurred a lot of torrential rain.
As if cancelling Neighbours twice this week, in favour of showing us a tank in a road doing nothing, or the same loop of footage we saw of George Bush the night before wasn't bad enough. They have now really taken the pisss. Now i am a keen golfer and enjoy playing golf, and occasionally watching it in small doses, but however much i like it there is no blooddy excuse to cancel I love 1990 just to extend the highlights programme.
Tonights crap offerings on BBC 1 are:
Casualty
the murder game
Parkinson
Congo (movie)
What a thoroughly crap line up, why are we paying £112 to be offered such a pile of crap on a saturday evening. I love 1990 was the highlight of a poor schedule and they cancelled it. what a bunch of twunts. What a line up and those gimps cancel it.
I am also sick of moronic, insensitive and guileless news reporters asking particularly stupid questions, making points about the significance of things that clearly aren't significant, and generally prattling on about things which would have filled a half hour show but instead some how get stretched to 6 hours worth of reporting.
While i am ranting at the BBC i am also going to moan about how they are obsessed with liverpool. When it comes to football coverage they broadcast the most stupid games involving liverpool at the expense of ignoring other top teams competing in europe such as newcastle, chelsea and leads. Even though A) these teams may have a bigger match and B) ignoring the fact that liverpool are generally acknowledged to be the most boring team ever to have existed.
A) If they are going to charge us to watch TV then they can at least do it properly otherwise i'll have adverts please and not get charged and extortionate fee.
B) It would be nice if they didn't think our hobbies were watching paint dry and grass grow when it comes to sport
C) They acknoledge the fact that we don't want crappy Docu-gameshows and half hour long national lottery shows at the expense of actually entertaining programmes.
I feel a bit better now that i've got rid of a bit of aggression, but all i have to say is, "what a bunch of T*****s"
> Welcome to democracy in the Middle East people.
And that's a stupid comment. There was no democracy there, and there won't be for a good amount of months to come yet. That's the whole point no?
> Yeah fantastic BEARDS, just how many times have they helped Iraq
> breach the Geneva convention in the past few weeks ?
They haven't breached it. It's illegal for governments to exhibit footage of prisoners of war, the Geneva Convention holds no power over independant broadcasters. There's nothing stopping ITN showing footage of POW's, they just choose not to because they'd get massive amounts of compaints from both the public and the government.
And nobody seems to object to film crews sitting on top of tanks showing footage of Iraqi bodies lying beside the road as they drive past.
Judging from the footage they aired it's the Iraqi's who have the monopoly on executing people, not the Americans......
Plus Al Jazeera, plus other stations who will remain nameless, have been telling everyone how the fight for Baghdad would be a great last stand with the ordinary people resisting, instead they are now in shock as the ordinary people come out onto the streets against Saddam.
Welcome to democracy in the Middle East people.
The day the statue fell ? "Stuff that" thought the BBC, lets ask everyone we can find about someone putting an American flag over it's face for about 1 minute !
I think it is high time that the license fee was scrapped and the BBC forced to make it's living with;
a) advertising
b) subscription fees
They think they are so good, let's see themtry either of the above and prove it. I watch the BBC for 24 (BBC 2) and that's it, used to watch News 24 but they can forget that, it's like the UK's version of Al Jazeera.....plus they are criminally slow and the reporters are always in the wrong place, and the anchors engage in questions that I could give answers to sitting in my front room.
"So, what's the situation in Baghdad right now"
"There's gunfire, smoke, looting, armoured vehicles, marines, and press crews all in one place, what the f*&k do you think ?"
Rant over.
oh well i'm still pisssed of! its an hour late which is almost as bad, i left the video recording so ill watch it tommorow. BBC has generally pisssed me of this week
