Works fine for me here...
I just need one piece of code that can be plonked into any page, that will detect the browser, and run the correct code to offer "Bookmark this page" and "Make this your homepage" in either browser.
IE I've seen done, as I said, but if the code detected Netscape, it just said put the text "Don't forget to add us to your bookmarks!" instead - not what I wanted!
Thanks for any help. I'm off to look for some books on Java and CGI... I really need to look into this stuff seriously! :-)

I know it can be done in IE, but haven't yet seen it done

Ideally I'd like a universal script that will detect the browser

Your are correct MR AJG, we are all entitled to opur opinions, unfortunately some are a bit more oppinionated than others, even if most of the time theirs are pointles!!
Now I want a clean fight...
Ding Ding....
I've got no problem discussing it off-line if you wish.

I heard that the

For more info, search
> Google.com for "favicon".
You can create an icon in anything, just save it out as a bmp and then change the file extension to .ico Works everytime... just remeber to keep it to 16x16 and preferablu using system colours.
Trust me on this, I've been doing it for years!!:-)
