Now that the price of it's dropped to just £130; Championship Manager 02/03 is only £35; and SEGA have announced (in America, anyway) they'll be releasing some kind of adapter to let you use any USB Keyboard with an X-Box... I may well be getting myself an X-Box, some time this Summer!

But it won't be anytime soon.
There are too-many games coming out on the GameCube next-month, and I haven't even got a GBA SP yet. And then, June is exam-time.

But, one-day, I will have an X-Box - just for Championship Manager (initially). Bill Gates will be lucky I have a cack PC.... Sort of...

I bought an X-Box yesterday. £129.90 with Amped, Project Gothem Racing and Dead or Alive 3. Second hand like, but it works!

Last-seasons Championship Manager game ran badly-enough on my PC!!
I remember wasting over 3-hours-a-day, just working my way through one-whole-month -- WITH the game-speed on VERY-FAST, and only one-or-two leagues selected!!

And things have only got a lot worse, since then...
You should just hear how it struggles to start-up after pressing the power button! Yet my mum still won't agree to getting us a new one! :(

I'm not really that bothered about getting a keyboard for the X-Box now, after reading some reviews, and realising that it actually works-out quite well with just a controller. And I've heard it runs smoother-than-silk on an X-Box, too! That just makes me smile. :)

I should never be given an Editor with Championship Manager, eiter. They're only bad for me and my game. I work on it way-too-much, and end up having to re-install it, time-and-time-again!

And don't for one-second believe that I am ONLY considering buying an X-Box JUST for Championship Manager!! By all means, there are some great SEGA games available - just Panzer Dragoon Orta, and "Shenmue 2X" (is it really called that??). And then there's Fable in the future, aswell as others, like that BC game, which I like the sound of.

If I was buying this just for the CM games, I would've bought a PS2 and GTA a long, long time ago!

And I'm sure Championship Manager 4 will arrive on it, within time.
They need to get all the 'bugs' sorted first, and perhaps work out a way making it compatible through X-Box Live.

Hopefully Championship Manager 4 will be released on Xbox.

I see they've finally got watching the match right. Took them long enough. I always thought the text commentry wasn't good enough.

Now they've introduced a proper system where you can watch where your players are actually going on pitch during the game - and this is perfect. Why they didn't do it earlier I'll never know.

If you are buying it just to play CM 02/03 then I really wouldn't bother. There isn't a data editor and without having the TV on at the same time the game becomes boring fairly quickly. My PC is only 67MHZ over the requirements for Championship Manager 4 yet the game runs fine. The Xbox has so many fantastic titles that it would be stupid to buy one just to play a game which runs better on a PC. You should consider other games like Halo, Project Gotham Racing, Buffy, Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Shenmue 2X etc. I know you are quite a fan of the Shenmue series and the Xbox looks like the place where the series will continue. By all means get an Xbox but don't just get one to run Championship Manager 02/03 because it will be a waste of money and for the sake of a tiny upgrade you could get Championship Manager 4 running on your PC. Maybe pick up a 2nd hand Xbox and use the money you have left over to get a few extra MHZ or RAM for your PC.

The price drops not a real price drop anyway, you can pay £170 for a console with 2 games or £130 for a console with no games.

Not a real drop is it?

You're buying a console to play Championship Manager though, wouldn't you be best off getting it for the PC?

Oh and what use is a keyboard with the CM anyway?

uh

You realise you can get Championship Manager 4 for £25, and it's not like all those stats require a half decent PC...
