I am sure. the fact is that we are here now and my advise is not to think deeply about this because the only thing you´ll get is more confussion in the case of being a clever one.
nobody will be able to reach a conclusion , so wait and as soon as you die two things could happen: nothingness or you will witness the truth.

Too be quite clear the whole universe is 178 billion miles across we know this because there is a solid wall of Nuvvuagittuq greenstone and on the opposite end off that wall is the same universe[/i]
Do they have 'Nuvvuagittuq greenstone' at Ikea because that's exactly the colour Mrs DL wants for the new worktops :¬)[/i]

[...] I'm not sure how much truth is in that, but the observable universe is about 92 billion light years across. [...]
How do you work that out, then?
As far as I was aware the farthest we can see is 13.7 billion light years, so, if that's the radius of the observable sphere that we're at the centre of, it stands to reason that the observable universe is 27.4 billion light years across.
Or am I talking rubbish?
Edit:
After checking Wikipedia it turns out that, yes, I am in fact talking rubbish.:-)
MOD EDIT: Replaced swearing
