Doorway access that leads to "elite quarters"

its the room with all the phazon at the bottom

theres a wave and a plasma trooper near the door, and further up theres a power trooper. theres also a turret to the left and down a bit.

theres a door in the phazon but dont go there or youll die horribly.

make your way up the room till you get to a door. its a elevator to magmoor caverns. this gives you a quick access to this area.

you need to look on the map for a pink triangle pointing down (not sure where it is) this takes you to the bottom level of the mines. theres a few rooms of phazon with metroids in but then you get to the phazon mines boss (very hard)

sometimes I amaze myself.

Or is that the one with the big column, with the rotating sections.

Does it have a big industrial Plasma Beam at the top? If so, use the spinner to move it then activate the console with the Scan Visor to make it fire.

Get past the what?

I suggest scanning whatever you can't kill though I'm guessing you've already tried that.

A bit more of an explanation of where you are would help muchly. Is it before or after you pick up the plasma beam?
