The lists and lists of delays that Nintendo has produced, coupled with the fact that Nintendo are yet to release a firm release date for the GC ("spring" could be anything!), makes me believe that they have, once again, lost the plot. Not only do they wait till after Xmas- the biggest time for games sales- but they are yet to produce any public advertising for the console that may make people want to wait for the GC rather than just pick up a PS2 for xmas.
The whole thing has turned into a joke.

Contrary to what we may think, the marketing departments of various bits of nintendo and their distributors aren't actually full of drunken fools throwing darts at calenders for release dates.
Hence when considering rumors, i for one always consider what the change would actually achieve for nintendo-
Bigger demand for the gube where there has been release suggests it may be profitable to produce more of the machines for that country, potentially pushing back our release since it will take longer to get the same number of consoles produced to go on sale here.
Also, the same principles for releasing at a date in part determined by the x-box's launch should apply with the same logic here as in america.
It's the DVD Gamecube which is Japan only.
The normal Gamecube is out in the US and will be here by Spring.
The Japanese enterntainment giant, Nintendo, have announced that it will stop production of its new "Gamecube" game console.
In a statment this morning Mr. Miyamoto, head of Nintendo's Research and Design division, said:
"In the past years, we have seen the age of our main consumer lower considerably. We expect this trend to continue and, to combat this, we will go back to the drawing board to create a new console aimed at the unborn children of tomorrow."
Mr. Miyamoto refused to comment this morning on exactly what he meant by this, saying only that, "We are discussing our opitions at this time".
Whatever the statement may mean, parents be warned- soon your children may be burning holes in your pockets before their birth!

After they aquired their "kiddy" image, Nintendo have been going downhill ever since!
Due to this Nintendo have decided to leave the hardware business and have decided to capitalise on the toilet market! Now there gonna try and give Armitage Shanks a run for their money!
