I watched a DVD on my PS2 last night for the first time since watching The Matrix on it last November. The reason being that I have a dedicated DVD player.
Anyway, I borrowed the Region 1 version of Natural Born Killers from a friend (FatButcher), and so had to watch it on my PS2.
So... I was using both Region X and the official 2.10 drivers supplied with the remote. And it worked perfectly well. No compatability problems and, more importantly, no lip-sync problems at all in 2 hours of movie. No need to access the self-diagnostic mode, no need to pause and restart, and picture quality that was pretty close to my £750 dedicated player.
Hope that answers all of your questions! :-)
On the lip-sync though, it could just be your console that doesn`t have any problems, mine only seems to be alright if I use the official remote, and the diagnosis mode together. Still, as long as I remember, its fine.
btw... risky tag line that... but funny all the same.
Or even better PSOne games???
How about Dreamcast games??
Oh, and Wookie Monster, could you tell me how to actually get a picture on my TV, I've plugged the connectors into my stereo, but the picture stays black, please help me.......
:D
