This would then link to my next theory, about the future GameCube release: Mario Sunshine. I think that this game does follow on from Luigi's Mansion. And Mario is given asecond chance to restore himself back to life, by collecting all those sunshine points as a favour for someone, who can turn him back to human. And he currently is human so he can complete certain tasks with ease, and no-one will be scared.
If anyone thinks I'm completely mad, or has any other comments in relation to this then please do comment. I'd like to hear other people's views as no-one else at all has commented on 'Mario's death', just me!

urgggggghhhh!!! You do realise this is BOUND to happen! I will put a full review up sunday ;)
But seriously...Nintendo RUIN their ffing games by making them so slushy like this! It makes me want to slap them. They ruin prefectly great classic games by having all this baby c.rap. They should definitely bring out the "Nintendo Kids Collection" of 2D platformers if they don't want to lose their customers by making the top games like Zelda Cubed too easy and baby like.
Or add your own theory on what this means!!

but !!!
You can the game is called Smash Bros.
Well, i don't *think* that happens... : )

i reckon your right you know mate it sounds reasonable enough
It would be cool if he did die or something
Especially if for the final boss you had to fight the mario ghost... not sure how it'd fit into the story, but it would be interesting...
Far likely to be something a little lamer though, i think.
