Scupered!... Maybe its a mis-print? ... I popped over to the LucasArts site, and noticed that the last patch was posted 7/99, which was a while ago now (especially between patch releases?) ...
Or maybe the new version is just for the 'budget label' release?

Yeah i tried the Factor 5 website but it just directs you back to the lucasarts website.

Sounds a bit like my ISP; I was having problems with spikey pings, so I emailed them asking if it was a known problem with their service, or if I should start trying to troubleshoot my system. I mailed twice over about 3 days, and the second mail I did get a response to, but I don't think the guy's heart was in it, as it was the standard reply; 'What are your system specs etc' even wanting to know my graphics card make for some reason. Anyway, I told him what he wanted to know, and that was the last I ever heard from him. Over the next two weeks I sent no less than five copies of this email, hoping someone might reply, but I got nothing.
Would have phoned them, but at £1pm it did seem a bit steep. Anyway, they lose because I'm moving to BB soon and it definately won't be theirs.
I've had problems with titles i nthe past, where Activision/EA has had older patches, whilst the actual developer site had more recent releases.
Well i'm gonna go offline and see if i can try and sort this bloody game out, if not then it's going in the bin!
Don't know what Lucasarts are like though.
