There are about 3 different place we're all keeping each other up do date on this... thing

We all know it's general pap

and what the hell is that big controller thing?

I knew the last game was going to be a beat-em-up duel of some kind, but I had my doubts about which game it might be.

I think the wise choice would of been to go for Capcom vs SNK 2 EO. The celebs were playing it backstage so why not?

Better still, have the too kids battle each other with control pads or just recreate their own beat-em-up.

And the bloke that lost, it didn't look like he cared he was even there.

Yea I noticed that, the pair of them were just button bashers. I was looking forward to watching some proper tactical fighting, but it was not to be.

the last award was decided by judges, and thats enough for us to moan at

Well that was a cack awards ceremony if I ever saw one.

The biggest problems with it:

1. You never got to hear any speechs by the developers.
2. Half of the 'Arcade' games weren't Arcade games.
3. The Rock was nearly the greatest video game character.
4. The 'UK's Greatest Gamer' actually wasn't, he couldn't play Tekken.

Yes she certainly does.

I love the way she reviews game on Gamepad saying how good the graphics are "just look at them", when she's commentating over FMV footage. Oh and how about the way she states things that are obvioulsy not true, for example in her review of Resident Evil 0 she says that you now have to burn the corpses of the zombies or they come back as Crimson heads. Anyone who's played the game knows that this happened in the original remake and not Resi 0.

A true genius she be.

Also, I think it would have been better if Violet Berlin had presented the show, she knows what she's talking about.

Well, it all seemed a bit 'cheap' and 'artificial' to me. Most of the people presenting the awards didn't have a clue about games. I think 'tacky' is an understatement.

However I am glad that Vice City won the 'Game of Games' award. Personnally I really think Vice City is the best game I've played, nothing else offers the same sort of atmosphere.
