Finally, the Rock has returned to acting. The Rock a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson is giving up his wrestling career to become a full time actor, in about a year.

IF this is true. IF. I am disappointed, but not surprised. Anyone who has read the Rock's best-selling auto-biography entitled "The Rock Says..." will know that the sports entertainment business runs through Rocky's veins.

He is dedicated, and loyal to the business, but smart enough to know that you have to get out while the going's good. The Rock has seen it happen, and is experienced enough not to let it happen to him.

The Rock has a wife, who inevitably will be increasingly worried about him as some of his old knocks come back to haunt him and to slow him down, and I believe he has a baby girl, and/or one on the way?

Not that I doubt the Rock's conditioning - he has been in the greatest form of his life since his six month break after wrestlemania. But he would be foolish not to realise that he's had a glistening career, and made plenty of sports-entertainment history to be proud of.

Besides, he can make more money in Hollywood, and not have to put his health on the line every day.
