Lets face it, all games programmes on telly are trash. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it.

So...

I'm in the process of pitching an idea to the Beeb about a games programme with a difference. Where other programmes turn presenters into gamers, we'll be turning gamers into presenters, which is altogether a MUCH better idea. Anyway, I was just wondering who would seriously be interested in making something like this.

Keep in mind I haven't even contacted the BBC yet (although I should have by tonight) this is just to see if this idea is actually feasible.

Think hard and don't see this as an excuse just to get on telly.

(Oh, and this is a prime topic).

Cybernet is probably still the best games programme.
We've had Bad Influence, Gamesmaster, Bits and now Thumb Bandits.
They're either too Childish or trying to be too grown up.
Cybernet gives the facts, no annoying presenters etc, but they are not always up to date and have some naff multi-media stuff, but it's not a bad programme.

True, but why would they start after all this time?!

Interesting to see...

"Them must not be Biased."

Followed by...

"all airtime being devoted to rugged and hopeless PS2 games, making them out to be splendid next gen quality when they are not."

So that rules Wolfhound out then! :-)

Thumb Bandits anyone??

Iain Lee and Aleks are true gamers, and they are quite funny and risqué in their approach, I liked it, lets hope it sticks around for a while.......

Good idea, but when the BBC say "No way hose" don't be surprised to find the same programme appear in about six months. It'll probably be hosted by Carol Vordermann, prodding six year olds with sticks until they make the right noises.

No LOL

How the heck do you ever think you're gonna make a computer games show on the BBC?

Like thy're gonna go for it, imagine it some greasy teenagers phone you up with no actual TV experience and ask if they can make there own computer games show. Would you go for it?

Me'sa thinking not. It's not as easy as just phoning up and asking whether you can make your own TV program, it's not as easy as just making a phone call, if it was don't you think everyone would be doing it?

Yeah, of course. We wouldn't want to talk about GTA3, GT3, MGS2, Smackdown JBI, Devil May Cry, Airblade, THPS3, 007 Agent Under Fire or SSX Tricky now, would we?

I'm interested TBN.

Also, MGS2 got 9.6 out of 10 from Gamespot, who are very hard to please. Best game ever, almost for certain.
