Which is better: Metroid Prime or Burnout 2?

With Zelda coming out soon, I'll be spending a lot of time on that, and I am looking into Burnout for it's fast, pick up and play gameplay which will be fun but won't engross me like Zelda will.
I'm really interested in Metroid, I've heard you lot rabbit on about it and your probably all dying with impatience waiting to finish reading this so you can post 'Metroid Prime!', but as it sounds like a game equally as engrossing as Zelda, I fear that if I get both my life shall cease and I'll turn into a little Nintendo obsessed goober.
So... fingers on the keyboards. What would you do in my situation?

I HATE those kind of scrolly zappy games.
If you just want an arcade type thing that's non-engrossing then don't get Metroid yet.

I'd get Burnout 2, I doubt it's the kind of game you can play for hours on end so it won't get that much in the way of your Zelda playing.
Get Metroid Prime when you've got enough time, it isn't the sort of game you can play for a few minutes then go out, you really need to sit down and play through it.
