Why is Crash bandicoot: the wrath of cortex beng called crash bandicoot 5?

I have got the latest crash gae for the last 3 years, but this year, whats the point. the new crash adventure doesnt look to great, its just crash 3 with ps2 graphics.

Well at least it gives them an oppotunity to come back to Crash 4 in about 5 years-like a Flashback story of what happed after 3 and before 5.....
Maybe they just fancied a change.

No its not. There hasnt been a proper Crash game since Crash 3....
but the wrath of cortex is the one coming out now (no.5)
