Looks like you can control more than 100 Pikmin at once in the sequel. As you can see there are 123 out of the onion in the screenshot, the first no. being how many are controled, the second being how many are out all together and the third being the total Pikmin. Just thought you'd like to know.

The story would indicate co-op.

However, challenge is mode is bound to make a return, and this time with 2 player competitive.

Hrrm, 2 player Pikmin. Anyone know if it's competitive or co-operative? Can you start off being their best friend and then drown all their Pikmin and laugh at them?
