I have uploaded or think I have my web pages with FTP. I tried Cute but couldnt work it out, so have uploaded to FTP Now. My web pages are all there on the right hand side. The stupid thing now is I cannot find how to get into my website. Do I have to do anything else, like upload it onto the freeola site, if so how, I have had a look at different things and cannot work it out. If I dont have to do anything else, what address do I need to put in to find my site. I have tried different things such as a mix of Freeola, my name, my password, but cannot find anything at all.
Please help. I am completely stuck and have been on this all day, trying to work it out.

Hi
I dont know the name of the site, that is the problem, how do I find it, through Freeola. I dont know what address I need to type in wwww.? When I phoned Freeola Help, they said just type in your name, but that doesnt work, then he said just type in the name of your web site, that doesnt work. Would you be able to find it or do you mean look through the FTP provider. Is that possible? I think I am on the verge of giving up and trying another method. Is there a simpler way?

As I mentioned you need an 'index' file unless you point your browser directly to a differently named file.

Can you post the address of your site and the names of the files you've uploaded so I can see if it works?

Hi thanks for your reply.
I tried to use the Freeola ones, like Cute but couldnt get them to work at all. Dont know what I was doing wrong, so I went onto Ipswitch WS-FTP, which is a free trial one. On the right hand side it has - Folder, then under this it has my site listed. If you click on this you get a listing of Page 1 - 7, then under that you get index html Page 1- 7. If I click on index html it shows the front page of my site. In the folder under my site is htdocs. If I click on this I get cgi-shl and my site underneath but it shows it as mysite.ows file.
Also I put it on FTP Now site and it appears to be listed the same as the one I have just described. I hope this makes sense.
Thanks

Where you say 'right hand side' :¬) are they in your htdocs folder?

You also need to have a file called index.html (or .htm/.php/.shtml)

Are you using a Freeola free domain name or a 'real' one?
