When asked about it Nintendo haven't denied it.

Oh god I hope this turns out to be true.
Taken from IGN.com
"Reports have indicated that a playable version of Pilotwings GCN could be demonstrated at E3 2003. IGNcube, though, has heard just the contrary; that while the game is in development, it won't be debuted at the big show.
We contacted Factor 5 president Julian Eggebrecht for comment, but he had none. "We are working on a second game, yes, but no comment," he teased. "Not on who is publishing, or what platform -- no comment."
The best thing about Rogue Leader was the graphics. I think they could do out an excellent Pilotwings game, here's hoping for the nice relaxing evironments once more.
And some fierce ones like volcanoes too.
:)
Do we own factor 5 now or something?
Or sometime soon anyway.
Pilotwings or another flying sim, if it turns out nice I'll give it a look.
That said, I'll still be snapping up the likes of Burnout 2 and Zelda... :^)
Nintendo need to start releasing some of these classic titles! SOOOOOOON!
Can't wait!
:D
