Is it possible for any Playstation owners to become Hardcore gamers? Or are they destined to be casual all there life?

How do you define hardcore?
I have a N64 and a PS2 at home and a PC in my office at work which occasionally *wink wink* displays games.
I have been known to spends hours at a time playing (4 hours is short for some but not when you work 60 hours a week and are married) and class myself as "avid" but not necessarily "hardcore"
