Yeah I know, a crap title. I was surprised to receive the Wind Waker a day early, especially since I only paid £30 for it (with the bonus disc). Anyway, I played the game for an hour or so before going to college, and initial impressions are good. Very good indeed. The graphical style will amaze for the first few minutes of play, and then it will all become familiar, like any other game. Having NEVER played a cell shaded game before, the style is wonderful.

I've got another free hour before my next lesson - so why am I not playing the game right now? Well, let me explain. You know how every reviewer has said that they went through Zelda without losing a single life? I've lost one in Outset Island - the first island - to a PIG. I was trying to pick the damn thing up by sneaking up next to it, but nothing happens - so naturally, I gave it a few swipes of the sword and pretty soon, it started to ram poor Link silly. Then, it was two against one - and I had no shield, so death was inevitable. Slightly embarrassing considering I completed Ocarina of Time only losing one life.

Oh, special mention goes to the musical encores every time Link's sword makes contact with an enemy - it makes fighting more dramatic.

Whoopeedoo, you paid £30 for it. Well, with £30 cashback, I just effectively paid £89 for a Platinum Gamecube/Zelda bundle + bonus disk. Makes your deal seem a bit pants eh?

Oh that is cruel.

Crikey, you could break crockery as well!!!
Another great thing that I like from my hour and half of play is that cutting down the trees is fantastic to watch.

Hehe

I tried hitting him with my sword but no luck, he makes the nastiest sound when he sucks his booger back in.

All the kids i've come across seem to want to follow Link around, maybe he smells of wee or something?

Best thing to do with the pigs is take them up to the top of the cliff and chuck them off the bridge into the sea, takes a while but is very amusing.

And the boy with snot hanging from his nose - why does he insist on stalking Link?
