*tries not to laugh*
Wow i can't believe you still have a Cyrix, i thought those went out with the Dinosaurs. Here's what i'm currently running, i'm still not happy with it though as i should have gone with a better processor. just to last me that little longer.
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
512mb DDR
120gb Hard Drive
GeForce FX 5600 Ultra
SoundBlaster Audigy
56k Internal Modem (i know, i'm getting broadband soon)
10/100 Network
16x DVD-Rom
DVD Re-Writer
Windows XP Professional
I'm really thinking of getting a bit more ram to boost it up to 1gb and may even upgrade the sound card eventually. Why do i have to be so fussy!
shame its £150 cheaper in america though :(
The computer i'm currently using is downstairs and really really crap, with this amazingly stupid spec....
225mhz Cyrix MMX processor
160MB SDRAM
4mb graphics, which is shared with the memory
Some lame on-board sound card
3gb hard drive.
I think that says it all.
Like I said, my room is tiny, a computer would'nt fit in there at all. I'd like a laptop cause I could surf the web while lying in bed ect. Also, with the alienware laptops being so high spec, I could play decent games on it aswell! I've always wanted a laptop...

All your paying for is the custom cases and stuff. Just do what i've just done have a go at building your own. It's cheaper and you'll learn more about your PC, but better still you know that your not getting some cheap crap components. Just don't get carried away like i did and spend your whole wages on it.

Well since all i do id go to work 6 days a week and have one day a week to do stuff i'm not gonna waste my money on a laptop. A couple of my mates have got them (well two) but never use them, which i see as a total waste of money.

Well obviously the laptop will be more expensive than the desktop, you are paying for portability. If you need portability, laptops are the only option.
