Ill probs end up buyin it but mgs2 was crap. Most people took about 9 hours to complete it but most of it was cut scenes it barely took me 7 hours. it should be better. And teyve got more competition now

Never played MGS myself, but I thought MGS2 was pretty good.

I'll look forward to the next one. Even if it has huge cut-scenes.

If this ones as good a movie as the last it could be up for Oscar nomination...or just BAFTA

I shall be like Goatboy. Only instead of Goatboy I shall dress up in Lycra and try to infiltratte next door's garden. The Evil Gnome and his henchmen are forcing the cat to poop in my garden, and I shall hope to assasinate both the cat and the gnomes before it's too late!

Heh, oh how times have changed.
I remember the endless MGS2 threads here filled with pant-straining adjectives about how cool it was.
"You can watch ice melt!!!" screamed the spakks.

"Yeah but it's just not good. It's all cut-scenes" said I
"No, shut up. It's da best evah"
"No, it lacks the innovation of the original - and even repeats several sequences like the torture chamber, guided missile steering etc"

I shall mostly be ignoring MGS3 and playing Vietcong instead

MGS2 was a great advance in computer graphics on the PS2 and any other console at the time. It also evolved the AI in computer games and other vital parts that other games use today.

MGS2 was a great looking game, played well and was a fantastic interactive movie so to speak. But a little too short and long FMV's.

Now that is soooo true.

I think MGS2 is a great movie.

Just like Substance as well. I ordered this for a friend of mine when it came out. Went round to see him about a month later, he had all his games laid out on the floor.

Waste of money unless they decide to do something about the gameplay. I'm not going to be sucked in and buy this!
