cheers

i aint sure because it also seems hard to do the standing finishers like the angle slam and the rock bottom

One thing i have to say about the demo, is it me or was there a real lack of moves ?? I managed to find that when you hit and daze the opponent for a moment, you can pull off a couple of other moves, but otherwise grapple wise there were like 4 moves ! Thats not including the turnbuckle moves, into the rope moves and ground holds. I think THQ had a great way before of getting into the grapple, then using a direction and a button to do different moves, gave you access to large amounts of moves to be done. Plus of course the shoulder button used to swing yourself round the back of an opponent so you could do moves that required you to be behind them. To SD3's credit though i do like the reversals with the arm bars and takedowns :-) Plus hitting your opponent to make an opening for your finishing move is a nice idea too.

You are right Mattyboy. The demo is a very early code of the game. I mean look at it. The commentators are not in, the entrances are not in and there are loads of glitches. But on friday we (and hopefully me) will find out what the final version is like

I actually quite like the look of Legends of Wrestling!! Its going to be great playing a game with characters who I remember all those years back - Hulk Hogan, Superfly Snuka, Jake the Snake Roberts!! It should be a laugh!!

I have enjoyed all the playstation wwf games since warzone, especialy the smackdown series. When i played the demo, i wasnt as impressed as i thaught i would be, but you have to remeber its only a demo, its not the final game. The reviews in magazines seem to love it, and give SD3 high scores and lots of praise.

Sure its not perfect, but its still fun, and one of the biggest games of the year.

Remember SD games arnt just about the fighting, theres also the create a wrestler mode and the storylines. so what if its out of date, its still going to be a great game. But dont blame the game for the lack of wcw and ecw wrestlers, its not up to the people who make the game, the other wrestling federations are currently under licence by acclaim and EA.One day we probably will see a game which includes everyone, just not now.

If you dont get SD3, I would go for tony hawk. but rent smackdown first, just to check it out before you comit to a purches. Or theres always the legends of wrestling, but I spose you will just say thats 10 years behind wrestling today.

Im still getting smackdown, i thaught i would have to wait till santa brought it on christmas day, but luckily i won gad on sunday for a piece called public gaming.

I dont think I will be dissapointed - I really enjoyed Smackdown 2 and this is suppose to be a lot better!!
I wasnt that impressed with the demo but there were a lot of faults which make me suggest it was a very early code of the game!! Im pretty sure THQ would not release it if the problems were sorted out!!
Im still sure this game will be awesome!!!
