Does anybody believe that these games (meaning extreme sports games) need to feature real people that do these sports?
I wouldn't know a proper pro-skater, BMX-er or in-line skater from a made up one. Would you? Would it matter if they weren't real?
Anyway, played Tony Hawk's 2 on the Playstation at the weekend, and it was much better than I expected, nice, simple, fun.
Crappy Playstation pad made my finger hurt though, my brother broke his sticks playing the game, so the pad was the only option!

create an opponent to look like someone you hate, then rip his head off in Mortal Kombat style.
It's a winner!
And his stats are rubbish.
And you can smash him into cars and make him smash his nads on railings.

Isn't there something slightly more impressive about a game that features real names?
Using real names, real moves, real locations and whatnot... doesn't it go some way to 'knowing' more about that sport? Isn't that something which people like?
