Ok. I haven't been in here since half term, true to my promise. But here I am, peeking my nose in to see how other people; (who aren't as great as me) are doing on "Te Wynd Wayckr". The most startling thing I've seen, (aside from how rubbish everyone else is) is the fact that most people reffer to the game as cel shaded.
The game, put simply: is NOT cel shaded. Look at the majority of the textures! They may be simpler than common things nowadays, but instead of doing it to be chic, a la jet set; its to express a childish simplicity, and when things get more complicated and adult in the game (example: place where you get the second variation of sword) the textures up in complexity.
Pay attention, it's not cel shaded, just pretty.

I know it's no cel-shaded... its a manga style... cel-shaded is layered 2d rendered images.
You're right, it's not cel-shading, Nintendo calls it 'Toon Rendering'.
