...Is similar to the message I recieved after beating the Wind Temple and gaining full power to my Master Sword.

Why the hell didn't I save somewhere along the line?

I've re-done that temple now and have saved, but that really did get on my nerves!

It's not like there are any marks on the disc either! I take brilliant care of my games, no exception to my most played, so how this happened I do not know.

I've had a similar problem with Mario Party 4 in the past - on a number of occasions it has displayed the error message whilst trying to load one of the mini-games.

TGM - sounds like you've got a dodgy GameCube. Either that, or someone is sneaking into your room and rubbing sandpaper on all of your games.

That's never happened.

Although after two hours of un-saved fun on Master Quest the thing froze.

D'oh.

AT least you get an error message, mine just goes black and the TV buzzes.

I keep all of my games in good condition, and it's happened to a lot of them, I think my GC might be broken, though I cleaned the laser lens the other day, it's been OK since. We'll see how it keeps up.

Happened to me during Metroid Prime.

"There has been an error. Please consult you manual"

Luckily, I had just saved after getting the ice beam!
