The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
One new Notable is voted in every three months and here's your chance to vote. BUT DON'T VOTE HERE. See Below.
This thread is to TALK ABOUT THE ELECTION.
One person has one vote. EVERYBODY (including Staff) can vote PROVIDING they were signed up before November 1st 2001. If you just arrived then you'll have to wait for next time - sorry.
Vote as two people and we will exclude you.
Vote more than once and we will exclude both votes.
Don't vote for the Notables.
Don't vote for a Newbie.
Don't vote for a Member of Staff.
You can only vote ONCE for a REGULAR.
What are we voting for:
The person who in your opinion has made the best OVERALL CONTRIBUTION to the forums.
How to vote?
Despite some very good suggestions we will have an open vote in a VOTE THREAD. Commencing NOW and closing at Midnight on November 22nd.
Those interested in being elected should start their campaigns. Good Luck.

Actually if i remember right, someone said (not on this forum) that Savatt (possibly a slight difference in spelling) means mud or something....
Cool ! I have a campaign !
VOTE SOD !!!!!
Hmmmmmm, do family pets count ? The voice in my head ? Anything other than having respect from the people on this forum ??? Well thats me stuffed for another campaign ;-))
FREE GAME FOR ALL WHO VOTE FOR ME !!!! ::starts designing a very bad board game on an A4 sheet of paper::
Internet voting: open to hacking so not secure
Email voting: secure, but noone knows who voted for who, so open to election rigging by SR Staff
Postal voting: if works for the armed forces, but have you seen the price of stamps these days?
Forum voting: Hard to rig, but bear in mind a lot of regulars have more than one 'regular'
More voting suggestions:
I think Staff should be able to vote too, after all they ready EVERY post posted, every word written, day in day out.
Their votes should count as 5 votes because clearly they are in a position to know about these things.
I think Notables' votes should count as 10 votes each because we are clearly very important people.
More voting smallprint:
Anyone who owns an N64 shouldn't be allowed to vote on grounds of insanity.
The decision of SR is final in all matters, including the final outcome of any voting processes.
Electioneering catchpharases like 'You er-no it makes sense' will be given high priority, as well as demonstrable skill in being able to kill Sniper within the space of a few sentences.
